Case Study:  Bernhardt Furniture

Syncroness was engaged specifically to solve a problem related to existing inefficiency in the organization translating customer orders into finished product.  The existing process was error prone and slow, causing multiple delays, increases in expensive scrap, and customer dissatisfaction.  Our consultants assessed the situation and executed a 6 month plan to eliminate these issues.

Assesment

Syncroness interviewed both engineering and manufacturing staff to extract current practices used in the design and production of the product.

Consensus

By documenting the practices in conflict, Syncroness was able to get the design and manufacturing teams to agree on a standard set of design practices.

Automation:

Syncroness created a system using ProProgram to automate the production of shop drawings and 3d models based on the established practices.  This system reduced the time from order to production  to a matter of minutes vs days and weeks previously.
