Product
Description:
Users are given PIN codes, which they use to log on and turn on electronic devices
(TV, computer, etc.). The box keeps track of the amount of time used by each person
and cuts off the power when that persons predetermined time expires. Certain times
of day can also be blocked. Parents have a master code so they can override the box
if they want extra time for educational or family viewing.
Our Responsibilities:
This TV time management product was developed exclusively by Syncroness engineers from concept to production. We designed the electronics and user interface firmware for this consumer electronics product. The device has an audio, LED, and text based LCD user interface running on an inexpensive ST microprocessor. It allows parents to easily program the amount and times they wish to allow their children to watch television. Syncroness successfully maximized the customer experience with the device while minimizing the cost of good sold.
Client's Testimony:
"I've led dozens of software builds, and this is the first time I've come across an engineering team that is innately gifted with a sense of 'user-experience.' Thanks Syncroness, for not only thinking of my company, but for thinking of my customer! It's rare to come across an engineering firm that is intrinsically inclined toward usability, but Syncroness has this ability, and applies it to every project!
Yes, they are goofy looking. Yes, their office is next to a horse farm. And yes, they simply refuse to laugh at your jokes. But they provide your product with a damn cool usable interface! Innate user-experience knowledge is rare in today's engineering market. Syncroness stands alone in providing not only their client, but the end customer, with the best possible experience as they interact with your product. Professional engineering skills, constant communication, building for manufacturability, and an eye for usability that is how I would describe Syncroness."
