Product Description:
This product uses laser illumination to get real time medical imaging of the sample.
Client's Testimony:
"We've been very pleased with the way you and your team have supported us. We're glad you're here!"
Our Responsibilities:
Syncroness assisted in taking the clinical trial version of the system hardware and software to market. Syncroness provided debugging, additional features, electronic re-design, documentation for the FDA and created test fixtures.
Key System Functions:
- The real time imaging processing software was written in C and Java and runs on Mandrake Linux.
- The GUI allows clinitians to view video of the sample in real time at 10 frames per second.
- RFID is used to ensure the integrity of disposables.
- The system allows sixty seconds of instant replay.
- It will save video to disk.
- It uses high pass, low pass and hex filters as well as single point offset correction
based on a real time subtraction frame to remove background noise and artifacts from the video.
- The system contains custom circuit boards for powering touchscreens, driving the laser,
splitting out DVI signals and interfacing to the RFID hardware and to the camera over LVDS.
Development Details:
- Syncroness wrote Java and C code to address new feature requirements and fix bugs in the system.
- We designed electronics to create a power supply for the touchscreen monitors that
leveraged the medical grade PC power supply in the device.
- We created a test fixture for simulating error conditions for use in validation.
- We also assisted in EMC mitigation.
- The device is based on a Pentium 4 platform.
Results:
The electronics and software portions of the system are validated for release for sale.
