Formed in 1998 to transform technical product development, Syncroness has built an international reputation for reliability and excellence in diverse industries and markets. Headquartered near Denver in Westminster, Colorado, Syncroness was founded by product engineering experts Mike Walraven and Mark Henault. Their goal was to create a new, superior brand that would develop some of the world’s most reliable and marketable technical innovations. Syncroness was their vision, and the company’s success has proven their technical and business foresight.

Today, we have more than 60 full-time engineers who develop products for organizations all over the world. Our degreed engineers have received widespread industry recognition in such organizations as INCOSE, IEEE, and ASME, and numerous publications and patents have been associated with their work. In addition, over half of our staff has more than 15 years of product development experience.

Management Team

Mike Walraven, founder and CEO

One of the co-founders of Syncroness, and the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mike has more than 25 years of product development experience. He is a true product development innovator in action, helping more than 50 different companies successfully integrate and implement best practice-based processes into their product development organizations. Through his experience, Mike has a deep understanding of the information flow and development processes within organizations – and strives to unlock greater efficiency throughout the product development pipeline. He holds seven patents and received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Kettering University, formerly GMI Engineering & Management Institute. LinkedIn profile.

Mark Henault, founder and CTO

With 10 patents to his name and 20 years of engineering experience in a wide range of industries from sporting goods to the Department of Defense, Mark delivers excellence in innovation for every Syncroness project. He co-founded the company after serving as a product development engineer at Ford Motor Company, where he developed automation processes and systems that dramatically increased the efficiency of designing the interiors for cars and light trucks. He completed both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in mechanical engineering degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. Eric Brunette, vice president of operations support

Along with thirty years of engineering, leadership and community service, Eric brings a track record of establishing processes and best practices, cultivating talent, and building high-achieving teams. He has served industries as diverse as consumer electronics, telecom, industrial instrumentation, civil aviation, and medical electronics. His experience spans the gamut of engineering disciplines from design, quality assurance, quality systems, manufacturing, and factory test. Eric has spent his career in contract product development for the Engineering and Manufacturing Services sector. He graduated in 1990 from Marquette University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After ten years as an electronics design engineer at Plexus Technology Group, Eric became a project manager and functional group manager. In 2006 he completed his MBA at the University of Colorado, and in 2007 he joined Syncroness, where he ran the Embedded Systems Engineering and Software Engineering departments until 2015. In addition to his technical leadership, Eric drove the effort to implement an ISO 13485-certified medical device development process, and he is currently leading the effort to achieve AS‑9100 certification. Stacy Sprouse, vice president of sales and marketing

Stacy brings more than 20 years of product management, strategy and business development experience to Syncroness. An innovative problem-solver, she is highly skilled at strategic product planning, portfolio management, new product development, product lifecycle management and global marketing. Prior to joining Syncroness, Stacy served as the Vice President of Engineering and Product Strategy, Cardiac Diagnostics and Monitoring for Cardiac Science Corporation. She drove new and emerging strategic business opportunities and lead development for existing product lines. In addition to business development roles, she has held marketing and product management positions at Medtronic Navigation. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Tulsa and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Todd Mosher, vice president of engineering

Todd Mosher has more than 25 years of experience in engineering both in industry and serving as a professor at two universities. Dr. Mosher is leading the Syncroness engineering organization to new levels of excellence by helping to establish and socialize company level Key Performance Indicators and drive alignment to all levels of the engineering team. Recently, Dr. Mosher has served as Senior Director of Strategic Opportunities for Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Space Exploration System business area within the Space Systems Group. In that role he led the formation of strategic partnerships with Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance, Draper Laboratory, Aerojet Rocketdyne, the Walt Disney Corporation and Lucasfilm. He directed the proposal efforts for the next phase of the NASA Commercial Crew Program and NASA’s next Commercial Resupply Services contracts with possible values of over $5B. Dr. Mosher successfully led the three previous NASA crew proposals valued at over $350M. Prior to his current position, Dr. Mosher was the Director of Design and Development for the Dream Chaser program managing the design team for all of the major subsystems and a staff of over 100 SNC engineers and contractors while keeping design and development milestones on schedule and within budget. He has been recognized externally as one of The Denver Post Colorado Top Thinkers (2012) and the University of Colorado Kalpana Chawla Outstanding Recent Alumni award (2012). Within SNC, he has been awarded the Explorer’s Cup Management Team Award (2012), the SNC Director of the Year (2011), and the STAR Award for Technical Excellence (2010). Dr. Mosher holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State University. Kim Fullerton, director of human resources

Kim Fullerton’s HR career spans more than 25 years. Starting out in national non-profit leadership she quickly learned that her passion was helping bring candidates and companies together. Kim has worked as a career coach, mentor, recruiter and human resources consultant.  Prior to joining Syncroness, Kim served as a Career Coach for Impact Group, the expert when it comes to one-on-one relocation, talent development and outplacement services. In addition, she founded and developed her private recruiting and HR firm, matching talented individuals with the needs of companies.  She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Wichita State University, in Wichita, Kansas. LinkedIn profile.

Raymond W. Cohen, Chairman of Syncroness

With over 30 years of experience in leading medical device companies, Mr. Cohen is an accredited public company director. Mr. Cohen is currently the CEO of Axonics Modulation Technologies. From 2010 to 2012, he served as CEO of privately-held venture capital backed Vessix Vascular which was acquired by Boston Scientific in November 2012. He spent nearly a decade as Chairman & CEO of Nasdaq-listed Cardiac Science Inc. ranked as the 4th fastest growing company in U.S. in 2004. Additionally, Mr. Cohen serves as the Chairman of the board of directors at a number of private and publicly traded life science companies including UK- and Irvine, CA – based Lombard Medical (Nasdaq: EVAR – endovascular AAA stent graft), and Seattle-based BioLife Solutions (Nasdaq: BLFS – preservation media for human cells).  He also serves as a director of Henderson, NV-based Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPPI – Oncology drugs) and of Munich and Irvine, CA-based JenaValve Technologies, Inc. (transcatheter aortic valve replacement systems).

Yuval Wasserman, President and CEO of Advanced Energy

A 30-year veteran of semiconductor and electronics industries, Yuval Wasserman has been with Advanced Energy since August 2007. Having joined as senior vice president of sales, marketing & service, he was promoted several times, most recently to president and chief executive officer in September 2014. Under his leadership, the company has diversified and grown significantly through a variety of strategic new products and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Wasserman served as president and chief executive officer of Tevet Process Control Technologies Ltd., a semiconductor metrology company. Prior to that, he held senior executive and management positions at Boxer Cross, Inc., a metrology company that was acquired by Applied Materials; Fusion Systems, a plasma strip company that was a division of Axcelis Technologies, Inc. and AG Associates, a semiconductor capital equipment company focused on rapid thermal processing. Mr. Wasserman started his career at National Semiconductor, Inc., where he held various engineering and management positions. He currently serves as a director of Syncroness, Inc. Mr. Wasserman has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Ben Gurion University in Israel, and he studied business at the AeA/Stanford University Executive Institute.
